"The family. We are a strange little band of characters trudging through life sharing diseases and toothpaste, coveting one another's desserts, hiding shampoo, borrowing money, locking each other out of our rooms, inflicting pain and kissing to heal it in the same instant, loving, laughing, defending, and trying to figure out the common thread that bound us all together."
--Erma Bombeck
"People are often unreasonable and self-centered. Forgive them anyway. If you are kind, people may accuse you of ulterior motives. Be kind anyway. If you find happiness, people may be jealous. Be happy anyway. The good you do today may be forgotten tomorrow. Do good anyway. Give the world the best you have and it may never be enough. Give your best anyway. For you see, in the end, it is between you and God. It was never between you and them anyway."

Last night, we had a good-bye BBQ for Rex and Jeigh and their little family. They are moving to West Virginia for PA school. We are so excited for them and so proud of them, too. Rex and Geoff are best of friends and I really don't know how they are going to get along without each other. I often tease Geoff and he can't finish a sentence without Rex. We all had a really good time...it's going to be a while until the entire Meredith family can get together again. Good luck guys! We're really going to miss you!

The Meredith boys: Rob, Geoff, Bob, Russ, and Rex
Kissing cousins!! Emily and Jett were getting their last kisses in before it's time to say good-bye.

Pool party

Amber invited us over for a pool party last Wednesday. It was a fun way to cool down on such a hot day. I don't know why I call it a pool party...Emily didn't want anything to do with the pool. We just sat in her chair or played in the sprinklers. Thanks Amber for a fun day!!
Anna has the cutest smile and I'm excited that she's starting to smile alot more often.

Jett wasn't very interested in the pool either...he just walked around with his ball.

Jenna and Halle...everyone thinks they're twins. They are so beautiful and so much fun!

Emily, Livvy, Mason, and Halle

My baby isn't a baby anymore!

A few days ago, I put Emily's hair in pig tails and it just hit me all of a sudden that she's growing up! She looks so much older when her hair is pulled back! I'm sad to think how fast time has flown by with our sweet Emily. We have had so much fun watching her learn and discover new things. It's hard to believe that last year at this time she was just a tiny baby and depended on us for everything...now she insists on doing things all by herself! It's ever harder to believe that two years ago at this time we didn't know if we would ever have the opportunity of being parents...she was definitely worth the wait!!

Miss Attitude!

Emily has started to let us know when she thinks we're doing something wrong...she YELLS and GROWLS at us! It doesn't matter what we doing, if she doesn't like it, she makes sure to tell mom and dad and expects us to fix it PRONTO!! Some think it's cute, some think it's sweet, I think we're in for alot of trouble it she's already starting this. I wonder who she inherited this from...probably Geoff!

Two peas in a pod

My brother and his family came for a visit from Seattle this week. The second Emily laid eyes on her cousing Derek...she was in love. She started calling him "Dat Boy" and would follow him all around. She would sit and gaze at him with love.

She is really going to miss him when they go home!!

Water Baby!!!!

Emily got a pink pool for her birthday from Rob and Jenilyn. She loved to sit in it with a soft pillow and look at her books. When summer came, and we put water in it she was really confused. After a few tries, she is starting to understand the idea and has fun.

Geoff's a grown-up!

For all of you who haven't head, Geoff got a new job at Simplot! He is now an Analytical Lab Tech and loves his job. His schedule has really improved...he works 4, 10 hour shifts a week, so he has 3 days off now. It's been really nice having him home more. Before this job, he worked about 60 hours a week and was never home. Congrats Geoff!!! We are so proud of you!
