"The family. We are a strange little band of characters trudging through life sharing diseases and toothpaste, coveting one another's desserts, hiding shampoo, borrowing money, locking each other out of our rooms, inflicting pain and kissing to heal it in the same instant, loving, laughing, defending, and trying to figure out the common thread that bound us all together."
--Erma Bombeck
"People are often unreasonable and self-centered. Forgive them anyway. If you are kind, people may accuse you of ulterior motives. Be kind anyway. If you find happiness, people may be jealous. Be happy anyway. The good you do today may be forgotten tomorrow. Do good anyway. Give the world the best you have and it may never be enough. Give your best anyway. For you see, in the end, it is between you and God. It was never between you and them anyway."

Some good ole pumpkin carvin' fun!

Last night we decide to carve some pumpkins. I thought Emily would have more fun with it, but she was pretty bored. She wouldn't stick her hand inside and kept saying "EWWWW!!!" Geoff and I fun anyway. Emily just wandered around and checked on us from time to time.

Emily thought they were chairs.

The finished product. The one in the middle is Emily's...sticking a face on is so much easier!

Looks like you guys had a lot of fun. The sticker is a really good idea. I'll have to remember that for next year. The boys loved digging into their pumpkins, that's the difference between boys and girls.
